'God's influencer' set to become first millennial saint

ROME -- London-born teenager, Carlo Acutis, is set to become a saint after being attributed a second miracle.
Carlo Acutis died in 2006 at the age of 15 after a battle with leukaemia. Born in 1991, he would be the first millennial to be canonised.
Acutis, also known as God’s influencer, the computer whizz earnt his moniker by creating a website that documented every Eucharistic miracle. The website has now been translated into several languages.
The teenager’s first miracle was the healing of a Brazilian child in 2013 who was suffering from a congenital disease affecting his pancreas. This allowed Acutis to be beatified in 2020, which is the first step towards sainthood.
The second miracle, which has been approved by the Pope in a meeting with the Vatican’s saint-making department, involved the healing the head trauma of a university student in Florence.
A year after his death, Acutis’ remains were moved to Assisi where they are on display along with his relics.
A person is eligable for sainthood in the Roman Catholic Church after being attributed two miracles, which are then investigated by a group of experts at the Vatican. With the approval of the second miracle, Carlo Acutis is now on the threshold of being canonised as a saint.
