Mystery of Napoli's Georgian star goal drought deepens

NAPLES -- Fans of Georgian football ace Khvicha K'varatskhelia were surprised to see photos of the Napoli star buried in a book on a flight from Naples to the port city of Genoa where his team played a Serie A game with the Ligurian club that ended up a lacklustre 2-2 draw.

Footballers are not known normally to be bookworms and Georgian fans who studied the photos of the text were intrigued to discover the 22-year-old was reading an Agatha Christie mystery novel, 'The 4:50 from Paddington.'

Some football pundits quipped that a more important mystery to solve is why Khvicha has failed to score recently, a goal drought that has brought disappointment after his dazzling performance last season.
